Figma MCP lets Claude Code read a frame directly: the layers, the auto layout, the variables. Instead of describing a screen, I just point to it.
AI follows your design system only when you write the system down.
But the magic isn't the connection. It's the context. Every project gets a CLAUDE.md with our rules, plus skill files that explain how the design system works, which components exist, and what never to do.
My loop is simple. Select a frame, ask Claude Code to build it with our components, review the diff like a code reviewer, and fix what feels off by hand. The repetitive 80% goes fast, so I spend my time on the 20% that needs taste.
